SONG PREMIERE: 'Trust Fund Kids' by Jake Stopar

Let me tell you about a track I've found myself randomly humming these past couple of days. It's “hot off the press” as it was released this past Friday, and we are more than excited to premiere today. The song I'm talking about is 'Trust Fund Kids' by Jake Stopar, and as he said, "this is a song that you just have to tell someone about!" and so here I am telling you all about it. It also would've been kind of, if not entirely, selfish of me to keep this gem to myself.

"This indie disco jam is ready to be played LOUD!" he shares. The man speaks pure facts! The track is catchy and mellow with the perfect summer vibes. I have to admit; I don't know which I like best. The woman's vocals you hear throughout the song or Jake's soft voice as he sings about watching DVD's on LSD, and his four-day-old gross T-shirt. I guess I can call it a tie, why not?

Don't be disgusted by the dirty T-shirt. Jake writes from personal experiences, and as a traveling musician, these kinds of things tend to happen. Don’t judge!

"It was me mostly on the road while writing it back and forth between Chicago, Colorado, Michigan, and Kentucky. I was just all over, and the lyrics reflect how I was vibing at the time," he shares.

If his name sounds familiar to you and you're an avid IndieWavves reader, it's because Jake is no stranger to the website. We've reviewed a previous record of his HERE and have gotten to know more about him HERE. This won't be the last time you hear of him, either. What can we say? We are certainly fans of Jake.
