Listen to “Honey” - out now!

Guitarist and local Chicago blues artist Jake Stopar released a new track yesterday titled "Honey." The track comes a month after his first single, "One Day At A Time (Baby)," which we wrote a review for HERE.

"Honey" is letting us know who Stopar is as an artist. It is so exciting to see an artist from the very beginning. You are taken along for the ride as they craft and release their music. You never know what you're going to get next. But, it is clear to us now that his use of groovy guitar riffs is why we got hooked to his music in the first place. We can't wait to hear what he releases next as he's currently working endlessly on his first EP.

This time around, we wanted to get to know Stopar a bit more, so he sent over these facts about himself:

  1. I played hockey in high school.

  2. I lived in Mississippi on a search for the real meaning of blues music for almost two years.

  3. I'm a White Sox fan who lives in Wrigleyville, Chicago.

  4. I'm currently working for a grocery delivery company.

  5. I also play with my band, The North And Wells Band.
