MUSIC VIDEO PREMIERE: "HIGH RIGHT NOW" (feat. Wes Period & Transviolet) by Young Saab
Today marks the release of Brooklyn indie duo Young Saab's new music video for their latest single, "HIGH RIGHT NOW." The new song, which also features Wes Period and Transviolet, combines hip hop, rock, and indie-pop to form an excellent party track, perfect for reopening celebrations, Summer kickbacks, and hangouts at the beach.
Jon Sandler and Eric Zeiler are two childhood friends that began releasing music together as "Young Saab" about one year ago, dropping their debut single "but i love you" last July. Unfortunately, covid made recording in person with other artists almost impossible, but the duo managed to put together "HIGH RIGHT NOW" and their other singles virtually. "I hit up Wes on dm and asked him if he'd check out this beat," explained Young Saab, "He loved it and a few days later sent me a voice memo of the hook. Instant obsession... I ran it back ten times right away, jumping around my apt with my iPhone blaring."

Although much of their music has been made while working with strict pandemic-related restrictions, now that cities are beginning to open up, the "HIGH RIGHT NOW" music video takes an inside look at what we've been missing this past year and a half.
Prior to their latest track, most of Young Saab's music trended towards hip hop and R&B, with some occasional spacey bedroom pop lyrics mixed in. Now, they are leaning heavily into the indie rock genre with the inclusion of Sarah McTaggart, lead singer of the California band Transviolet.
So, without further ado, here's Young Saab and friends living it up post quarantine, jamming to their latest single, "HIGH RIGHT NOW."
