MUSIC VIDEO PREMIERE: "Ghost" by Sofi Vonn

London-based electronic Pop singer-songwriter Sofi Vonn recently released her debut EP 'That Was A Close Call' in December of last year. Her latest song, "Ghost", dropped in February of this year, and today we are delighted to premiere its music video.

But before we leave you to watch the video, let us tell you a bit about Sofi. Born and raised in New York City to German parents, she grew up in the artistic-driven West Village neighborhood drawing musical influence from various backgrounds, which has given her the liberty to come up with an artistic style that is uniquely her own. She attended High School in Zürich, Switzerland, and was always interested in music but didn't know how to get into it. So she then took a break and attended Tulane University in New Orleans, where she earned a degree in psychology (with a German minor). Still, as fate would have it, she was brought back to music when she studied abroad in Berlin, Germany, for a year. "I loved Berlin, so I moved back there after I graduated from college - and that's how I got into techno and DJing."

While DJing, she also studied sound engineering before finally landing a full-time job with the BMG record label, bringing the singer back to her hometown of New York City. Her stay in NYC lastest about two years before she realized that she had the skills and experience to apply to music schools for her Master's degree and chose to study popular music at the highly prestigious Goldsmiths, University of London.

With all that experience under her belt, Vonn is well on her way to making a name for herself. Unlike many pop singers, Vonn writes all of her own material. She cleverly conveys emotions and opinions on society, love, sexuality, and various other human affairs. Vonn's music draws from her personal experiences, and it's evident not only in her music but also in her music video.

This might be her first acting job, but she and her co-star did a phenomenal job as they took us through the motions of a romantic relationship's ups and downs. And as Sofi had previously mentioned, I believe that many can and will relate to the video no matter how they interpret it. It leaves us with this question, are we the ghosts we run from when we get in our own way and push people away? I guess only we can answer that question for ourselves, but for now, we'll leave you to enjoy the music video for "Ghost" by Sofi Vonn.
