Lawrence

Your New Favorite Siblings.

When you think of fabulous New York City kids, you probably think of them as super creative and unique, and well, you are right. New York is credited for creating and housing some of the best talents in the world. This is why we love that we are based here; we discover and meet some great acts, like the one we bring to you today.

Siblings Clyde and Gracie Lawrence are THE quintessential New York City cool kids we were referring to. Clyde Lawrence and Gracie Lawrence have been writing songs and listening to records by music legends in their family's New York City apartment since they were little kids. They officially created Lawrence after years of playing together. The band is an eight-piece soul-pop group composed of musician friends from childhood and college. Together they have gained a loyal following for their high-energy and keyboard-driven sound. Not to mention their ability to tell a story effortlessly.

Lawrence became the first band to sign with Beautiful Mind Records in June 2019, the label of Grammy-winning producer, songwriter, and artist Jon Bellion. They have since released the Bellion-produced singles "Casualty," "It's Not All About You," "The Weather," and "Freckles", which have garnered tens of millions of streams across all platforms. The singles are a part of the band's new album, which will be released in Summer 2021. Wow, we cannot wait for that!

Until then, we suggest you jam out to their latest track, "Don't Lose Sight". The high-energy hype song is "about perseverance and determination." If there is anyone you should be taking advice from when it comes to staying true to yourself and not letting haters get to you, it's Lawrence.

Aside from having created Lawrence, Clyde and Grace are very accomplished individuals. As you'll come to discover by some of the facts they shared with us below, Gracie is an actress having worked on screen and Broadway, while Clyde has written songs and score for film and television. We still can't get over some of the facts they shared with us. Seriously, these siblings are so gifted and a duo you want to keep your eyes on.

  1. Clyde is colorblind.

  2. Gracie was born in a blow-up bathtub in her bedroom, like literally her current bedroom at her family's home in New York City, not a hospital.

  3. Clyde wrote the theme song for Miss Congeniality at age 5.

  4. Gracie was on Broadway at age 12.

  5. Seven out of the eight Lawrence members went to Brown University, and the eighth is Clyde and Gracie's childhood friend.
