Five Fun Facts with Forgetting The Future

We want to introduce you to indie rock act Forgetting The Future! They hail from "the most Northerly part of Scotland called Thurso" as they like to describe it. FTF are Robbie McNicol, Connor Wilson, Max Paul, and Jamie Mackay.

They started back in 2014, and since then, they had their first recording in 2016 and released their first E.P “Under the Influence” in early 2018. These guys might be quite young, but they seem to know what they are doing as they were signed a year later in January of 2019. In February of this year, they released their eagerly anticipated debut album "Broken Phones & Hormones," which holds the track that everyone is talking about, "Inhaler."

But don't take our word for it, listen to their latest album below:

Make sure to read the five facts they sent our way to get to know them a bit more. FTF is one band you'll want to keep your eyes on, cause we definitely will. We are excited to see what these guys release next!

  1. We got the name Forgetting The Future after hunting for a title for ages. We came across it because we thought it was the most uncool name, so hand in hand that makes it the coolest in our perspective

  2. Our first-ever recording session was with the famous Sir Edwin Collins when we were just fifteen in his amazing highland studio.

  3. Robbie (Singer) and Connor (Drummer) grew up surfing. Both competed for the world championships in Portugal after Robbie Won the Scottish championships, and Connor came a close third in the U18s section of the Scottish champs.

  4. We recently signed to InTime Records and started working with our new producer Ken Allardyce, who has worked with the likes of Green Day, Fleetwood Mac, Weezer, Madonna, etc. We usually sit around the lounge in the studio and proper fangirl about Ken's stories about the enormous bands he's worked with.

  5. Our track "Alligator" was named after Robbie's favorite record "The Ride" by Catfish And The Bottlemen as a tribute to how amazing it is, along with many other influences in the album that the boys have.
