“I’m just going to keep pushing.”

Singer-songwriter, body positivity ambassador, and model Chel just released the most epic and sexy music video for her latest single, "View From Down There". But, in true Chel fashion, the singer does not hold back in her lyrics or mannerism as she is her best hype woman in the video. Speaking of fashion, you have to watch at least if only to admire her beauty in the outfits she dons. Nothing makes a woman more beautiful than the confidence she wears, and Chel knows how to wear hers well. But, of course, being that confident in your own skin doesn't always come easy, and Chel understands that as she has overcome so much and proven many people wrong in her journey. Early in her life, she was bullied, both on and off social media, mocked, taken advantage of, and stolen from. They even tried to discourage Chel by telling her that she didn't have the looks or body type to succeed in music and when she had more than enough reasons to give up, she didn't.

"This song is about someone who has fought really hard to achieve their goals and has now achieved a lot of them. Through this process, they had support from close family and friends, but not from everyone. Fast forward to now, when this person is doing well, all the people who neglected to support them in the past are now trying to be a part of the momentum. The song is a bit tongue and cheek. And it feels good to sing it and to say it because it is a story I have lived", shared Chel.

With lyrics like: "Tell me how's the view down there, 'cause I feel like I'm walking on air, I'm so busy I forgot to care, how rude of me to forget you were there", the track has full "Hot Girl Summer" vibes! Wow, what a way to say what you want, mean it, and make it catchy AF all in one.

It's easy to see why Chel has established a loyal fanbase who feels inspired by her music and personal journey. However, the singer has no plans on slowing down as she said, "I'm just going to keep writing about things I care about, like self-care, gender equality, racial equality, and mental health awareness. I'm just going to keep pushing. I'm continually amazed by the amount of progress my team and I have been able to make. I am so excited to see where this wonderful life takes me over the next few years." We cannot wait to see where she will be even a year from now as she is not going anywhere. Until then, we leave you with her Five Fun Facts below. Enjoy!

  1. I played tackle football in middle school, and I was on the defensive line. I had told my mom I wanted to be a cheerleader, and she asked if I wanted to be the one cheering or the one they're cheering for, and I guess I took that very literally, haha.

  2. I am a very good cook. I love food, and I find a lot of joy in cooking. I try to make different recipes every time I cook to continue to learn and try something new!

  3. Around the time I got very serious with my music career, I was considering going to school for special effects makeup. I had been working as a freelance makeup artist for a while.

  4. I walked in New York Fashion Week.

  5. I initially went to school for fashion design and sometimes make my own outfits.
