Catie Turner

Making Magic On An Area Rug.

Catie Turner is on a roll with recent singles "One Day", "i luve him" and the most recent ballad "Play God". Now based in LA, the Pennsylvania native released a new performance video of "Play God", and it's in a setting we wish we could live in for a few hours with the glammed-up Catie. The 60s-inspired room has walls adorned with some totally far-out wallpaper, an attractive bookshelf, an old TV, a vinyl collection, potted plants, and overall it's just a warm place to enjoy Catie's music. We think you'll agree that in under three minutes, it's a pretty special spot to get lost in. It definitely left us wanting more of the singer-songwriter who stole America's hearts on American Idol back in 2018. Catie has grown tremendously as a singer and a person over the past couple of years, but she's still as bright and witty as ever. Check out the video below, and here is Five Fun Facts with Catie Turner, where we learned about her adopted new love Derp, her obsession with One Direction, and how having a Valentine's Day birthday is kind of rough.

ICYMI: Read our Q&A with Catie HERE.

  1. I'm trying to learn how to sew right now and embroider. I have been the person who cannot draw or cut straight lines, and you have to be even when you make clothes. I made my first pants, they were very uneven, with different length legs, I didn't have a crotch for a minute. My mom says, "Catie, you are artistic, but not in that way". Wish me luck; I am trying to be artistic.

  2. I have a dog, his name is Derp, he's 15, he has one tooth, and smells really bad, but he is my best friend. I never thought I'd find a best friend in a dog. I didn't know it was true 'til I met a smelly obese chihuahua.

  3. I was conceived on Disney property, and that's why my mom believes I got on the first season of American Idol on ABC. I'm a Disney baby. Mickey Mouse is like my sperm donor.

  4. I was born on Valentine's Day, which kind of sucks because you can like never go to any restaurant because people will ditch you for their boyfriend. So it's my birthday, and because of that, I've always been an attention-seeker. I think that's why I became a musician to make up for all those lost birthdays. You would think it's not as bad as the Christmas babies, but it's still a holiday. Like "Sorry, I'm having dinner with my boyfriend, who just proposed to me"…on my birthday.

  5. One Direction is the best band of all time. I had a big One Direction phase, and I'm still going through it. That is the one band I would die for. When people ask me who my musical influences are, people think of Joni Mitchell or Bob Dylan.

Bonus Fact: If Harry (Styles) comes up to me one night and says, kiss me, it's not cheating. He's borrowing me.
